It goes without saying that there will be ZERO tolerance for sexist, racist, homophobic, or transphobic remarks, music, or imagery. Result in any of the above will mean immediate disqualification.
We swear, we get it. But if you do swear, please bleep it out.
We like to have a beer, we get that too. But problematic imagery or over-consumption of any substance (legal and especially otherwise) won't be tolerated either.
Keep fish wet! If you're planning on releasing a fish let's all do our best to follow best fish handling practices.
We know there's a LOT of pressure to get that hero shot but it won't make or break your submission. We're interested in a great story, not fish porn. And we'd rather not kill fish for content, full stop. It isn't our style, and we won't stand for it. So let's do our best to keep our fishy friends wet and return back to the water safely.
Any footage in submissions must be the property of or the rights owned by the filmmaker as well as any audio and music heard must follow appropriate copyright laws.
If any children appear in the films that you are not a parent or guardian of you will need to submit, alongside your video, written permission from their parent and/or guardian.
Any submission of original content is not to be shared, in any way INCLUDING your mom's Instagram, prior to hearing back from the official selection committee.
If you're selected, any sharing of the content before the February screening will disqualify the submission.
Participants, however, will be able to share their trailers as well as teasers for the festival that are produced by So Fly.
